Hon Phillip Reed released a statement regarding his plans to cut tax rates down to a minimum of £30. Just a few hours after, the BBC started reporting strange activity within Westminster. It soon became clear that an attempted Coup d'etat was underway.
For much of the evening, citizens left right and centre were left baffled. However, it soon emerged that the National Workers Union (NWU) were responsible for this short-lived dictatorship, declaring the United Kingdom was Totalitarian Socialist State. This soon came to an abrupt end when the government miraculously regained control. Immediately after the events occurred, Ambassador Lord Matthew Scott was quoted to have said, “The Chancellor has been revoked. The UK wins again, God Save the King!” His Majesty is yet to comment. |
Employment Act launches a hub for job seekers.Mr Reed's first Bill as Prime Minister received Royal Assent a day after it passed both Houses of Parliament. The Employment Bill aims to make it easier for British Citizens to find and apply for vacancies in all sectors of employment. It also provides employers with a place to advertise and recruit able minded candidates smoothly and efficiently. The Prime Minister said "locating a job ... is often stressful. This hub provides you with the necessary applications as well as a brief description to help entice you into getting a job in a certain area of the UK."

Elections Called for Tuesday 9th August.Following the sudden resignation of Mrs Watson after just 8 hours as leader of His Majesty's Government, the King acting upon her Royal Prerogatives called for a General Election to take place. The election shall be the first time ALL eligible citizens have been able to take part in an election, as previous elections have worked on a caucus system which a palace spokesman described as "unruly, unfair, and highly undemocratic."
All British Citizens entitled to vote will be able to do so between 7am and 10pm on 9th August. |
